I brought this from one of my websites.  I wanted to have it on this blog so my family could see where I came from. Carlos

I have no forum. Maybe a little Zen Buddhism will emerge thru the backwoods philosophies and Elizabethan adages of Appalachia . My mind takes many trips . Some days it travels familiar and safe roads but other days boredom sets in and it wanders thru the desert searching for peyote buttons and hallucinations.. Some days it brings new insights and other days just fond memories. I never question where it is going or how long it will be gone. I want to enjoy every new adventure it takes me on. Some of the roads are familiar and so comfortable. . Some days it meanders down the river banks of my youth and I see the trees clinging to the bank, roots exposed like bad habits. I see the meadows of grass so lush that hunting Easter eggs was like walking thru a green river. All the eggs were never found. Do we ever find them all? Hopefully not.. The thrill of the hunt.. The search for new roads and new stars. I search just for the searching. I hunt just for the hunting. A restless mind is the river of life. Some days it flows smoothly other days it is a whirlpool raging with new thoughts. Flood or drought. It can get deep and muddy and lose all clarity. Or thoughts dry up . Days of no depth. Let your mind travel. At it's will. It can take you beyond yourself. Beyond your expectations. On trips that will delight you.
